In the 1980’s, following a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design and Illustration at Kingston (UK), I worked as a photographer's assistant for John Suett at Project Photography, a large studio in central London, photographing still life, advertising and catalogue work. A year later I began working as a photographer for Operation Raleigh (now Raleigh International). Here I produced photography for PR use and photographed Raleigh’s candidate selection weekends around the UK. This culminated in photographing a three-month Raleigh expedition in Guyana’s rainforests in South America, photographing the jungle interior, the Amerindians, wildlife, landscapes, expedition projects and ‘venturers’. Upon returning to the UK I began working as a freelance photographer. |
